Delhi woman allegedly strangled by her fiancé

A young woman was allegedly strangled to death by her fiance, who is a former Navy officer at a guest house in Sagar Pur area of South West Delhi, police said on Tuesday. The body of the deceased, identified as Priyanka Kumari was found at a guest house room in the area yesterday morning. She had checked in the guest house on Sunday along with Mohit. The room was booked by Mohit and he had even introduced Priyanka as her wife, said a police official. In the morning, when nobody responded from inside the room, guest house authorities broke open the door only to find Priyanka s body lying on the bed. CCTV footage showed Mohit leaving the guest house on Sunday evening. Initial investigations have revealed that Mohit and Priyanka were engaged some time back. But later it was learnt by Priyanka s family that Mohit had some behavioral issues. Meanwhile, he also lost his job, the official said.
